Donald Trump posted several images claiming to show Swifties’ support.
Some of them came from a satirical post; Another was a Taylor Swift meme based on Uncle Sam.
Swift has supported the Biden-Harris campaign in 2020, despite not supporting either major candidate.
A social media post encouraging Swifties’ support seems to have angered Donald Trump.
“I accept!” was posted by the former president. on Sunday, alongside four sets of pictures, the majority of which featured women wearing “Swifties for Trump” t-shirts.
However, a post with the title “satire” was the source of one set of images, and several of the images contained typical AI markers. Taylor Swift was depicted in another image alongside the words “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump,” which were taken from Uncle Sam.
Swift has supported the Biden-Harris campaign in 2020 and accused Trump of “stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism,” but she has not yet endorsed any major presidential candidates.
Other Swift fans appear dissatisfied with Trump’s outreach, despite the fact that two of the images appeared to depict the actual Trump supporter Jenna Piwowarczyk.

Since free tools like DALL-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion became available, AI-generated content has flooded the web.
Many social media users have been deceived by fake images of other prominent figures that have gone viral, raising concerns that images generated by AI could influence voters.
The BBC discovered earlier this year that some Trump supporters were encouraging Black voters to vote Republican by creating and sharing deepfakes of them.
One user wrote in response to Trump’s Truth Social post about Swift: She would never give you her support. Here, you’re talking about the king of the cat ladies without children. The girlfriend’s army is her own.
“I hope this causes Taylor Swift to declare her full support for Harris.” Another X user wrote, “You don’t play with the Swifties.”

Both campaigns would benefit greatly from Swift’s endorsement, as her adult fan base in the United States is estimated to be nearly as large as the 2020 presidential vote count. Swift’s fans are also known for their unwavering loyalty and organization, so it’s unlikely that getting on their bad side will benefit the former president.
A request for comment was made, but the Trump campaign did not immediately respond.
